Hello! My name is Brittney Housley. I’m a mother to an amazing 5-year-old and a wife to my dearest husband for hopefully many years to come. We have a puppy named Cooper (a Border collie/Catahoula mix). I work 40 hours a week as an Assistant Property Manager by day. By night, I manage my household until I can relax briefly before bed. I love my morning cup of coffee, going to the gym and lifting weights, painting and being as creative as possible. We have an amazing apartment outside Denver and we attend the best church. I love dressing up and get dolled up but also like being cozy on the weekends.
Now…. let’s get real. Most days I barely function thanks to my wonderful little boy. My husband ( whom I love) works nights and 60 hours a week, making my schedule that much more difficult. I drink coffee because I am a total zombie without it. And as much I love coffee in the morning, I love whiskey at night (not every night of course). While I love the gym, I go in waves and hardly go anymore. Our apartment is luxury, but small with 4 people (did I forget to mention my grandmother lives with us) and a dog. I can only get dolled up if I have an hour, which I barely have any more as well. Most times, I look like I almost ran out of time.
I started this blog so I can show our struggles and successes as a REAL family and show that other moms (and dads) are not alone! I see many stay-at-home mom blogs, many fitness blog moms, health coach mom blogs, life coach mom blogs. I don’t ever see the real average full-time employee moms who run from 6AM-9PM (or later) with literally zero seconds of alone time (I mean no time to barely use the bathroom without the co-workers getting suspicious). This is for the moms AND dads who think they are just average and mediocre. It’ll be ok 🙂
